Students seeking an Associate of Arts degree in Creative Writing must take CWRT 100 but the course is also open to the general public. An in-depth exploration of narrative structure, point of view, imagery, metaphor and word choice will prepare students to produce evocative, original compositions in any genre. Critical reading and critiquing techniques will be explored in order to set students up for success as peer reviewers. Students will be expected to submit original writing for workshop three times in the semester as well as contribute weekly to craft discussions and The Writer's Room. Weekly video chats will keep us connected and inspired. Welcome!
