ECCE 300 is an introductory course designed familiarize students with Canadian academic culture in the context of early childhood care and education. The course focuses on learning about academic conventions, upholding academic integrity, avoiding plagiarism, summarizing and paraphrasing, reflective writing and delivering presentations. Throughout the course students will learn and apply strategies for active listening, analytical reading, delivering effective presentations and writing clearly and cohesively. Students are expected to actively participate in course discussions and activities and work both individually and collaboratively on group projects and presentations
