In this course, we will examine various topics that are fundamental to modern keyboard practice. This will include subjects such as technique, sight-reading (grand staff, lead sheet), improvisation, chord voicing, and essential elements of specific styles (e.g. gospel, jazz, funk, Rock, blues, etc).
We will also discuss some of the important keyboard artists in contemporary music, and each student will have the opportunity to do a presentation on an artist of their choice.
