Physics 102: Basic Physics I, is an algebra-based survey of mechanics. This course is generally for students of the life sciences or others who do not plan to pursue careers in the physical sciences or engineering. Course topics include vectors, particle kinematics and dynamics, energy, momentum, circular and rotational motion, thermal properties of matter, and fluids. Some important concepts will be investigated experimentally to reinforce the concepts and to develop the experimental method of investigating and reporting results.
