ECCE 169 Observing and Reflecting Practicum II integrates theory and practice through participation in regional early childhood programs. Students engage in pedagogical processes by inquiring, noticing, listening, responding, experimenting, and critically reflecting on everyday encounters with children and others in their practicum sites.
Through complex relationships with children, mentors, families, materials, places, and ideas, students explore how curriculum and pedagogical knowledge emerge through everyday encounters and relations. Learners develop their capacity to think collaboratively, make thoughtful pedagogical choices, and critically reflect on their own participation, interpretations, and emerging professional practice.
